The Rising Sun Collection was available as a weekly drop to players who held an operation pass for CS:GO operations Bloodhound in 2015, Wildfire in 2016 and made its final appearance in 2017 for Operation Hydra.

The Rising Sun collection CS:GO skins draw some inspiration from Japanese culture. Some notable examples of this include the anime artwork on the AUG and the variety of kimono patterns used on some of the pistols and the G3SG1.
